Formed in April 2021, president Mark White created Higher Standards Stable with the goal of creating a rescue that helps not only equines, but equestrians as well. After working as a farrier, specializing in corrective shoeing, and traveling the U.S. with his horses, he realized he had found his passion. Outside of H.S.S. he owns and operates a crash barrier/gate company that provides the funding necessary to keep a non-profit thriving. This allows for a true not for profit organization, where each and every donation goes right back into the horses and education.

We are always grateful for each donation. 100% goes into the care required for equines. Most of our day to day costs are grain and hay, but donations will also help cover veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, and medications our equines may need.”
